NIACC's Cusciotta earns 2nd team all-region honors
MASON CITY - NIACC freshman TJ Cusciotta was selected to the all-NJCAA Region 11 second team on Tuesday.
Cusciotta, a 6-foot-5 inch guard from Woodbury, Minn., averaged 13.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. He scored a career-high 30 points in a 104-99 win over Iowa Central on Jan. 14 in Fort Dodge.
Cusciotta led the ICCAC in free-throw percentage at 84.8 percent (123 of 145), which is tied for second on NIACC's all-time single season list.
Iowa Central's Jordan Cain was the regional player of the year and DMACC's Kaden Tate was the region's defensive player of the year.
DMACC's Blake Sandquist was the regional coach of the year.
