Trojans fall to Northeast CC, 108-91
NORFOLK, Neb. - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 108-91 decision to Northeast CC Saturday afternoon in an ICCAC contest.
Northeast CC trailed 49-48 at the half, but outscored the Trojans 60-42 in the second 20 minutes to claim the league victory.
Northeast CC was led by Ryan Huston with a game-high 27 points. Johanes Piscikas scored 23 points for the Hawks and Scottie Johnson scored 17 points.
NIACC was led by freshman Bryson Robinson with a career-high 18 points including a 3 of 3 performance from 3-point range. Robinson's previous career best was 16 points against the Waldorf University Junior Varsity on Nov. 13.
Sophomore Joseph Fitch scored 16 points with eight rebounds. Sophomore Jacob Martin scored 15 points with eight assists and two steals.
Also for the Trojans, sophomore Cameron Reigard scored 13 points and freshman Kam'ron Solomon scored 10 points.
NIACC returns to action Wednesday at home in a non-league contest against DCTC (8-14). Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 7 p.m.
