NIACC's Seifert earns ICCAC player of week award
MASON CITY - For the second time this season, a NIACC women's basketball player has been honored as the ICCAC player of the week.
NIACC freshman Ciara Seifert won the award for the week of Nov. 17-23, 2025. The Trojans' sophomore Reggi Spotts won the award for the week of Nov. 3-9.
NIACC opened up ICCAC conference play last Saturday with a win over Marshalltown 65-42. Seifert scored 14 points with 20 rebounds, six steals, four assists and one blocked shot to lead the No. 12 Trojans to victory.
The 20 rebounds is tied for fourth on the school's all-time single-game rebounding list. The last time a NIACC player collected 20 rebounds in a contest was Madison Hillman on Feb. 3, 2024.
Seifert joins Hillman and Alyssa Hames (2021-22) season as the only three NIACC women's basketball players with 20 rebounds in a game this century.
NIACC (8-0 overall, 2-0 in the ICCAC) returns to action Friday at home in a non-league game against Minnesota North College-Vermilion. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 7 p.m.
