NIACC's Codling wins 100, places 2nd in long jump at Wildcat Invite
CANTON, Mo. - NIACC sophomore Xavier Codling won the 100-meter dash and placed second in the long jump Saturday at the Culver-Stockton Wildcat Invitational.
Codling won the 100-meter dash in a time of 10.80 seconds and placed second in the long jump with a leap of 7.28 meters (23 feet, 10 3/4 inches).
Codling also ran a leg on the Trojans' winning 4x100-meter relay team. The Trojans won the event in 41.22 seconds running Aldaine Angus, Codling, Alex Marchand Fierro and Tyjah Bishop.
Also for the Trojans Saturday, Angus was third in the long jump with a leap of 7.10 meters (23-3 1/2) and sixth in the 100 (10.93).
Bishop was fourth in the 200 (22.14) and eighth in the 100 (11.01).
NIACC's Gabe Hemsworth was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 55.75.
