Trojans place 3rd at regionals
STORM LAKE - The NIACC women's track and field team placed third Saturday at the NJCAA Region 11 indoor championships on the Buena Vista campus.
The Trojans earned their third-place finish with 58.5 points. Iowa Central was the regional team champion with 257 points and Iowa Western was second with 252.5 points.
NIACC freshman Romanica Wiltshire, who was third in the 200-meter dash on Friday, placed fourth in the 60-meter dash Saturday in a time of 7.64 seconds. The Trojans' Addison Adam was eighth in 8.04.
In the 60-meter hurdles, NIACC's Kiara Colton-Spearman was fourth in a time of 9.92.
In the 400, NIACC's Suzanne Guedeyi was sixth in a time of 1:02.42 and Ariana Keefe was seventh in a time of 1:12.81.
In the shot put, NIACC's Hannah Brinkman was 10th with a toss of 10.12 meters (33 feet, 2 1/2 inches).
