NIACC men's basketball team opens practice
MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team has officially started practice.
The first official day of practice for NJCAA schools was Oct. 1.
The Trojans, under 10th year coach Mark Mohl, open the season Nov. 3-4 with the annual Konigsmark Klassic. They play Fort Scott CC on Nov. 3 and Bay College on Nov. 4.
The NIACC men currently have a roster with 19 players on it.

3 - vs. Fort Scott CC; 4 - Bay College; 10-11 - at Ellsworth's Dale Howard Classic; 18 - vs. Iowa Western; 19 - at Wartburg College JV; 21 - vs. Riverland CC; 27 - at Luther College JV; 29 - at Southeastern CC.
December
1-2 - at Iowa Central Classic; 9 - at St. Ambrose JV; 10 - at Augustana University JV; 16 - vs. AFLBS.
January
10 - at DCTC; 17 - at Kirkwood; 20 - vs. Iowa Central; 24 - vs. Ellsworth; 27 - at DMACC; 29 - vs. Luther College JV; 31 - vs. Iowa Lakes.
February
3 - at Southwestern; 11 - vs. Wartburg College JV; 14 - vs. Kirkwood; 15 - vs. Waldorf University JV; 17 - at Iowa Central; 21 - at Ellsworth; 24 - vs. DMACC; 28 - at Iowa Lakes.
March
3 - vs. Southwestern (sophomore day); 6 - Opening round of NJCAA Region XI tournament.
