Trojans fall to No. 1 Warriors, 37-9
CENTERVILLE - The NIACC men's wrestling team dropped a 37-9 decision to No. 1 Indian Hills in an ICCAC dual meet Wednesday evening.
Indian Hills (4-0 overall in duals, 3-0 in the ICCAC) won seven of the 10 matches, including three by fall.
NIACC (2-1, 2-1) picked up wins from Chris Williams (141), Logan Straub (165) and Nicky Bernard (184).
At 141 pounds, Williams (8-2) picked up a 12-4 major decision over the Warriors' Rikyis Doss.
At 165 pounds, Straub (3-4) gained a 9-4 decision over the Warriors' Xavier Stermer.
At 184 pounds, Bernard (8-3) topped the Warriors' Julian Weems, 9-5.
NIACC returns to action Jan. 3 at home in the Battle For the Helmet tournament in the NIACC recreation center.
