NIACC ranked 14th in latest softball poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC softball team is ranked 14th in the latest NJCAA Division II poll released Monday.

Jones College is ranked No. 1 and St. Johns River State College is ranked No. 2.

DMACC is ranked sixth, Kirkwood is ranked 12th and Iowa Central is ranked 22nd.

NIACC (15-9) has won eight straight contests heading into Tuesday's home opener against Iowa Western.

It is the highest ranking for the Trojans since they were ranked 14th in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll on Jan. 22, 2024.
