GARDEN CITY, Kan. - The NIACC men'ss soccer team improved to 2-0 with a 2-1 victory over Lamar CC Friday in a non-conference contest.
NIACC opened the season Tuesday with a 3-1 win over DCTC. It is the second straight season that the Trojans have started 2-0 as they began the 2024 season 6-0.
In Friday's victory, the Trojans received both of their goals from freshman forward Miguel Arnaiz de Leon.
"I'm happy with the win," third-year NIACC coach Gannon Harsma said, "but not satisfied with how we won.
"We have much to prove and plan on doing so (Saturday)."
NIACC returns to action Saturday against Garden City CC. Match time is slated for 3 p.m.
