Trojans roll past Southeastern, 47-6
MASON CITY - The NIACC women's wrestling team topped Southeastern CC 47-6 Wednesday in an ICCAC dual meet in the NIACC recreation center.
NIACC (1-0 in duals) won three of the four contested matches against the Blackhawks, who are in their first season as a program.
Gaining wins for the Trojans were Lily Powell at 124 pounds, Brooklyn Burke at 131 pounds and Olivia Brown at 138 pounds.
Powell pinned Southeastern's Archer McClain in five minutes, 16 seconds.
Burke took an 8-4 decision from the Blackhawks' Emma Warth.
Brown gained a 10-0 technical fall over Southeastern's Felicia Saunders.
NIACC returns to action Nov. 19 in a home dual meet against Iowa Lakes. Match time in the NIACC recreation center is slated for 6 p.m.
