NIACC track teams return to action Saturday in Grinnell
GRINNELL - The NIACC men's and women's track and field teams return to action Saturday at the Grinnell College Track and Field Invitational.
The field events will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the running events begin at 11 a.m.
Last time out (men): Delgado wins 600 at UNI
NIACC's Akahnni Delgado won the 600-meter run in a personal-best time of 1 minute, 25.62 seconds at Northern Iowa's Jack Jennett Invitational on Jan. 26.
The NIACC 4x400 team of Scott Hengesteg, Kalen Eastman, Blake Lindsey and Timothi McMaster was 6th in 3:35.05.
Abdiaziz Wako was 7th in the mile in 4:39.26.
The NIACC men placed 10th in the team standings with 19 points.
Last time out (women): Gonzague places 3rd in 600
The NIACC women placed 9th with 21 points at Northern Iowa's Jack Jennett Invitational on Jan. 26.
NIACC's 4x400 team of Dashawn Wyatt, Amy Fullerton, Gonzague and Elizabeth Mennen was 3rd in 4:36.11.
Anna Frisch was 10th in the mile in a time of 5:51.52.
