NIACC women fall to Iowa Central, 4-2

MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 4-2 decision to Iowa Central in an ICCAC match Tuesday afternoon on the NIACC campus.

The match was tied 2-2 at the half but the Tritons outscored the Lady Trojans 2-0 in the second 45 minutes. Mara Crimmins scored a goal at the 76:08 mark to give the Tritons a 3-2 lead and Julia Herbst scored an insurance goal for the Tritons at the 86:55 mark.

Merle Flasskamp scored NIACC's first goal on an assist from Zjhayda Heath at the 38:30 mark and Kasey Parish scored an unassisted goal at the 42:34 mark for the Lady Trojans' second goal of the contest.

NIACC (2-2 overall, 0-1 in the ICCAC) returns to action Thursday in an ICCAC contest at Iowa Western. The match is slated to start at 2 p.m.
