NIACC women fall to Northeast, 5-0

NORFOLK, Neb. - The NIACC women's soccer team bowed out of the NJCAA Region XI tournament with a 5-0 first-round loss to Northeast CC on Sunday.

The match was tied 0-0 at the half and Northeast CC scored five goals in the final 27 minutes to advance to Wednesday's semifinals.

Third-seed Northeast CC (8-6-1) plays second-seed Iowa Central (12-2) in the regional semifinals on Wednesday in Fort Dodge.

NIACC wrapped up the 2018 season with a record of 6-7-1, which is the most wins in school history.
