Bio
Ravyn Krachey enters her first season as an assistant coach for the NIACC softball program in the 2026-27 season.

Returning to where her college softball career started, she is now starting her collegiate coaching career.

"This is exciting for the program when you can have someone like Ravyn, who helped turn this program around, to continue to give back to NIACC softball." NIACC head coach Matt Egger said.

"Returning to NIACC as a coach is a true full-circle moment for me," Krachey said. "Having worn this jersey myself, I know first hand how special this program is and I’m incredibly proud to step into this new role.

"I look forward to continuing the powerful culture that NIACC provides to the community and I can't wait to watch the growth of the athletes who get to be a part of this amazing program."

"It doesn't happen every day when a coach truly says, 'I was in your shoes.'  Ravyn was a leader when she played and I look forward to watching her help develop this team even more."  Egger said.

Krachey joins the coaching staff following her collegiate playing career split between the NIACC and Northwestern College.

As a senior at the Northwestern College in 2025, she appeared in 35 games, finishing second on her team with five home runs alongside a .557 slugging percentage and a .962 OPS. Defensively, she was perfect on the field, registering 120 putouts and four assists without committing a single error, earning recognition as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

This followed a strong 2024 junior campaign where she batted .338 with a .632 slugging percentage, five doubles, three triples, and three home runs across 32 games.

Before moving to the four-year level, Krachey spent three seasons as a key infielder for the Trojans from 2021 to 2023.

Her playing career at NIACC was highlighted by a great 2023 season in which she was an honorable mention ICCAC all-region selection.

During the week of February 20–26, 2023, she swept both the ICCAC Division II and NJCAA Division II national player of the week honors and a career-high five-RBI game against Morton College.

Over her career at NIACC, she launched seven home runs and recorded five separate three-hit performances. Krachey finished her 2023 season with a .414 batting average.

As a multi-sport student-athlete, Krachey also completed one year on the NIACC women's wrestling team.

Off the mat and field, she excelled in the classroom, earning first-team ICCAC academic all-region honors for both the fall 2022 and spring 2023 semesters and was a second-team NJCAA all-academic selection.

"As a head coach this is a proud moment for me when you have a player who played for you, and now wants to return to coach with you," Egger said.
