FORT DODGE - The NIACC men's basketball team dropped a 101-61 decision to Iowa Central on Saturday in the opening round of the NJCAA Region 11-B tournament in Hodges Fieldhouse.
Iowa Central led 58-31 at the half and outscored the Trojans 43-30 in the second half to advance to the regional title game.
Tashun Pender led the Tritons with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Jordan Cain was next in line for the Tritons with 16 points and Dorian Pruitt scored 14 points.
NIACC (16-15) was led by freshman TJ Cusciotta with 11 points, three rebounds and two assists. Sophomore Jacob Martin scored 11 points with two rebounds, two assists and one steal.
Cusciotta was selected to the all-tournament team.
