Jessica Wilkerson returns to the NIACC women's basketball coaching staff for the 2018-19 season.

Wilkerson was an assistant coach under head coach Todd Ciochetto from 2014-2017.

Wilkerson spent the 2017-18 season as an assistant coach at Park University in Parkville, Mo.

Wilkerson was also the assistant women’s basketball coach at Southeastern Community College from 2012-2014. She spent the 2011-2012 season at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant.

In the 2010-2011 season, Wilkerson was a graduate assistant coach at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis.

Wilkerson is a native of Fort Madison, Iowa and a 2003 graduate of Fort Madison High School.

She played basketball at Kirkwood Community College from 2003-2005. While at Kirkwood, she helped them to 3rd and 4th place finishes at the NJCAA National Tournament and earned the team's Most Improved award for the 2004-2005 season.

After Kirkwood, Wilkerson continued her basketball career at Columbia College in Columbia, Mo. Wilkerson was named 2005-2006 American Midwest Conference Newcomer of the Year and was a first team all-conference selection.

Wilkerson was also was named an NAIA Scholar-Athlete All-American in 2005-2006.

Wilkerson graduated from Columbia College in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with majors in Sports Management and Accounting.

Wilkerson earned her Master of Science degree in Sport Management from Missouri Baptist University in 2012.
