Sean Wells is in his first year as an assistant coach for the NIACC men's and women's cross country teams.
Well also will be in his second season as an assistant coach for the NIACC men's and women's track and field teams. Wells coaches sprints, hurdles and jumps.
Wells was a 12-time NCAA national qualifier and 5-time all-American and 2-time national champion at Grand Valley State University. Wells was the first male track and field sprinter in school history to win an indoor and outdoor national title in the same calendar year with wins at the NCAA Divison II championships in 2015. Wells won the 60-meter hurdles at the indoor national meet in 7.78 seconds and won the 110-meter hurldes at the national outdoor meet in 13.68.
