Grand View JV stops NIACC, 3-0

DES MOINES - The NIACC volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Grand View Junior Varsity on Wednesday.

The Grand View JV won 25-14, 25-14, 25-23.

"Errors totally killed our momentum (Wednesday)," NIACC coach Chris Brandt said. "We will continue to work on being disciplined as well as making good offensive choice."

Freshman Hannah Wagner led the Lady Trojans with nine kills and five digs. Also for the Lady Trojans, freshman Shelby Heston had seven kills, freshman Sydney Roush had 22 assists and four digs and sophomore Brooke Greenwood had three kills and three blocks.

Also for NIACC, Connor Gauch had five digs, Amanda Borden had eight digs and two kills and Becca Konz had three kills.

NIACC (6-15 overall) returns to action Friday at the Clarke College Junior Varsity in Dubuque. Match time is set for 6 p.m.
