NIACC women fall to Iowa Lakes, 4-2

MASON CITY - The NIACC women's soccer team dropped a 4-2 decision to Iowa Lakes on Wednesday in a nonconference contest.

NIACC and Iowa Lakes were tied 1-1 at the half but the Lakers scored two goals in the second half to claim the victory.

Sophomore Jessica Altman scored the Lady Trojans' goal in the first half on a header on corner kick from Rose Priestley.

Sophomore Rylie Smith scored NIACC's goal in the second half on an assist from Altman.

NIACC (2-2 overall) returns to action at home on Saturday in its ICCAC opener against Hawkeye CC. Match time is slated to start at 2 p.m.
