Jareese Williams Sr. begins his first season as an assistant coach for the NIACC women's basketball team.
Williams graduated from Potomac High School in Oxen Hill, Md. in 1995. Williams was an all-state wide receiver and partipated in the Chesapeake Classic, an all-star football game between the top players in Maryland and Virginia.
Williams played two years of football at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls before moving to Mason City.
For the past 11 years, Williams has worked in the Mason City School District as a paraeducator in the special education department.
He has also coahced varsity football, varsity boys basketball, varsity boys track, middle school boys basketball and middle school boys track.
Williams has also coached AAU basketball with Kingdom Hoops and has been with the North Iowa Fire since 2012. Williams was the director of boys basketball operations with the Fire for two years.
Williams is now the boys and girls skill enhancer for the Fire.
Williams lives in Mason City with his wife Jamie with their two children Jareese Jr., who plays basketball at Upper Iowa University, and daughter Jada, who is a freshman at Mason City High.
