NIACC men move up to 7th in latest poll

MASON CITY - The NIACC men's basketball team moved up a spot to No. 7 in the NJCAA Division II poll released Wednesday.

NIACC (21-3 overall, 10-1 ICCAC) was No. 8 in the Feb. 12 poll and gained a pair of wins last week (121-101 over Little Priest Tribal College and 109-53 over the Graceland University JV 53).

The No. 7 ranking is the highest for the Trojans since they were No. 3 in the Dec. 4, 2012 poll.

Potomac State is ranked No. 1 and Schoolcraft is ranked No. 2. Kirkwood is No. 8 in this week's poll.

NIACC, which has won nine straight games, returns to action Thursday at Iowa Lakes in an ICCAC contest. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
