NIACC drops pair to Crowder College

NEOSHO, Mo. - The NIACC baseball team dropped a doubleheader to No. 2 (NJCAA Division I) Crowder College on Sunday.

Crowder won the first game 9-1 and took the second game 3-2.

In the first game, Crowder scored two runs in the third inning, four in the fourth inning and pushed across three runs in the fifth inning.

NIACC's Ben Komonsky plated Joey Werner with an RBI single in the sixth inning. Werner collected two of the Trojans' three hits in the opener.

In the second game, NIACC led 2-1 after three innings by plating single runs in the first and third frames. Crowder, however, took the lead for good by scoring two runs in the fourth inning.

NIACC's Bryce Ball drove in a run with a double in the first inning. Komonsky drove in the second Trojan run with a single in the third inning.

NIACC's Jacob Hansen was 2 for 3 with a double in the nightcap.

NIACC (4-3) returns to action Saturday with a doubleheader against Redland CC in El Reno, Okla.
